Have almost new holeshot front tires and one of them got a nasty sidewall cut in it. Has anybody ran a tube in one of these, would really like to save it or at least get a few more rides out of it.

Seems like the tube would try and push throgh the cut? How big is the cut

that sucks. ive plugged holes in my rhino tires but no big cuts.

About 3 inches long. Could I maybe put a patch on it and run a tube?

Patch it and tube it. It will work. Ive had to do it to a front dune tire before.

don't do it if you ever go fast, lol....that thing will probably come apart if the cords are cut 3". if its just a small hole, and most of the cords are undamaged, then it could work. there is also butyl adhesive, like window weld eurathene that would hold the rubber together. fold the cut over and check....you really don't want that thing coming apart at 70.

I see desert guys run thick tubes or if your getting serious look up tire balls

If there tire balls are a little pricey. You can do the walmart balls. walmart balls

I'm interested in a pic of this cut pried open....... i'm serious about it coming apart at high speeds or hard cornering...which could be nasty. just because you can patch it together, doesn't mean it's going to hold when it counts......the cords are everything
