This story is all too common. Their wide and low stance is the only thing they really have going for them and it's not exceedingly useful when the motor is scattered all over the dunes or track.

mannnnnnnn suzuki would be getting a verrry detailed letter if that were me

ohhh trust me they did and there was a recall on my bike later that year to the first 2 motors were done for free X) but the down time was shitty

yea no the motors were covered under the shops warranty and at the third they said it was my fault i was like w/e

heres my 06 700 raptor. it is stock bore/stroke, has a 11.5:1 piston, stg. 2 hot cam, hmf exhaust, k&n filter, dyna ignition and a bored throttle body. it makes 63hp and 51 ft. lb. of torque on pump gas, kinda makes the 450's seem like 2 strokes lol

i only have around $1500 into the raptor. and i actually own an 05 banshee too and it has more than a 1/4 of the money in it and in the sand its not even close, youll need more than a 1/4 of the money to even keep up. but i still love riding the banshee, gotta love that powerband.

also i wasnt implying that 450's or 2 strokes are slow, i was just talking about torque/bottom end.

i know i dusted my share of 450s but i cracked my bottom case on the raptor when i landed
they are way to heavy and with no money they can be made so fast but alot of ppl dont know that if you want to get power out of the 450 its not the bore or stroke its the head that are restrcted
still wish you can have a rappy that is light like a 450

ya i have a friend that bottomed out on a gravel service road and cracked his cases too, he just jb welded it.lol ive been trying to shave some more weight on the raptor, just hard to find places to do it. also on the raptors you gotta do suspension, its a must unless you have a newer one with resevior shocks, then you can just have the shocks rebuilt.
